There are kangaroos, wallabies, wombats and echnidas readily seen in the area and lyrebirds often heard. However, the koalas are not so obvious. The course setters have found that eye shine with torch-light at night makes them stand out a long way off. Their eyes shine white and look too far apart to be a possum. Unfortunately wild goats and pigs inhabit much of the area and probably contribute to the lack of scrub!
