The Cowra Creek goldfields were first mined from 1888 to 1910 and again from 1935 to 1947. A small township developed near the main mine site with a bakery, hotel and school. The photo of the chimney is the remains of the old bakery. Many small mine sites are dotted along the Inaloy Fire Trail range. Some of these are small but deep holes so don't go too fast at night !
