Naas, Clear and Grassy: ACT Championships and 30th birthday, 21st Sep 2013

Happy birthday rogainers came over the hill,
To enjoy the sunny day, the moon and the chill.
The controls were all set and ready to sing,
So Glenn the gate man, let them all in.

Planning and plotting the teams were ready,
With routes big or small - and some a bit heady.
A reminder about snakes, and to shout at the dogs,
Then midday - they're off - "Watch out for the bogs"!

The 8 hour teams all returned apace,
With stories of crossing the full flowing Naas.
Risky log crossings, alligators and whales.
The moon is blamed for creating wild tales.

Birthday cake for all, and birthday hat prizes
Amy turned 30 !!! and David 39zez!!!
Ryan was 10 and Jane 80 (adds to 90)
Here, have some more cake, there's plenty.

"The mothers of rogaining", Anne, Lyndall and Kathy,
Have rogained every year and they're over seventy !!
Baby Carl and baby Xanthe weren't even one.
Will they be doing rogaines in many years to come?

The brave 24 hour teams all came home safely.
Tired, happy and pleased but not so hastily.
Welcome Hartley soup and sausages and trophies awarded,
Sing happy birthday - yes you are all applauded.

See you at the 60th !!!
