Navlight splits and stats

ACT 6 hour Paddy Pallin, 6th Apr 2008
David Baldwin, posted on 11th Apr 2008

You can waste hours looking at the Navlight splits and statistics.

For example, was it quicker to go 48-53-82-52 or 48-82-53-52? Look at the Leg splits in the Navlight results to find out.

The answer:
Leg Count Dist Min Mean Median
48:53 36 0.6 9:40 22:28 20:11
53:82 32 0.6 6:50 14:27 12:17
82:52 17 0.9 12:01 25:22 20:44

total 2.1 27:31 62:17 53:12

Leg Count Dist Min Mean Median
48:82 60 0.6 9:20 18:02 14:56
82:53 57 0.6 7:07 13:39 12:38
53:52 75 0.8 6:51 16:03 14:51

total 2.0 23:18 47:44 42:25

For a typical team, more than 10 mins quicker one way than the other - that's more than halfway to the next control! Most teams chose the quick way, but the winners went the slow way. There's always something to learn.
