Winter 4hr - Tidbinbilla

The winter 4 hr was run at Tidbinbilla and won overall by Matt Crane and Rob Walter. Despite the damp (rain at times) conditions there were lots of slightly cold but happy rogainers. From our youngest competitor (Kyran at 3.5 weeks old) to supervets we can claim a sport for everyone! Michael Challen and Don McLean set a very good course taking in the highlights of the Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve from the north in the pines and south over the hill towards the Corin Dam road. Congratulations to the Womens Open winners Mace Neve and Lucy McGarva and Mixed Open winners Dane Roberts, Clare Lonergan and Lee Rice. Other category winners and full results on the results page. Many thanks to our numerous volunteers including vetters Andrew Rowe, Benita Sommerville and Troy Skaleskog; coordinator Susie Sprague and the on-the-day volunteers. Many thanks also to the Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve and the fantastic rangers for allowing us to use the area and all the help.

Spring 6/12hr

The Spring 6hr and 12hr rogaines held up to their promise of beautiful coastal spring weather.  Congratulations to the amazing team of Rob Walter and Matt Crane who, with a score of 1610, took out the 6hr event (and would have also won the 12 hr if they had entered!).  Congratulations to Craig Mottershead and Jasmine Elson who, with a score of 1580, won the 12 hr event.  For all the results see the results page, and check out the photos too.  We had three family teams in the 12 hr, including Kelly and Caitlin Young who won the womens open, and Peter, Tristan and Patrick Miller who were third in the mens open. We also had six family teams in the six hour event.

We found after the event that we had a transcribing error on the map with control #57 so if you went to #57 (and your splits indicate you were in the area looking for it) please email David and we will credit you with the 50 points.  The control was marked on a parallel spur so you would not have found it!  We are very sorry for the mistake.
