To enter a Rogaine you must be a member of a Rogaining Association to cover insurance costs and the Australian Rogaining Association levy, which are charged to ACTRA (and other states) on a calendar year basis. Hence, memberships are valid for the calendar year.
ACTRA membership is $10.00 per adult, and $1.00 per junior.
There are two ways to join ACTRA:

Policy on junior competitors at ACTRA rogaines |
|
|
|
The ACTRA Committee has set a policy on junior competitors at rogaines to ensure the safety of all members of teams with junior members.
1. The Australian Rogaining Association rule will be abided by:
R2. A team that has a member under 14 years of age shall also have a member eighteen years of age or over.
2. In addition, we strongly advise that any team that has a member under 14 years of age should also have two members of eighteen years of age or over.
This is to cater for the possibility that, in a team with one or more young children and only one adult, the children might be put in a position of unacceptable risk if a serious injury (e.g. snakebite, head injury) occurred to the single adult. If you still wish to enter a team with junior members and a sole adult, please advise the event administrator. |
