Winners everywhere at the day/night/cycle Print E-mail

There were so many categories at the rogaine events over this event, that you almost had to opt out to not be placed in one. Kirrikee in the southern highlands was dubbed the hash house of the century with hot showers, flushing toilets and comfy stretchers in the fixed tents. It was a champion way to celebrate Father's Day, with super weather and a varied course. Special mention to the ANU students (almost 200 of them) who navigated the night course with an interesting array of head torches and who brought with them a fabulous youthful enthusiasm. ANU followed up with a 2nd overall in the night event - Brad Carron Arthur, Oliver Lilford and Anthony Ricci. Lee Rice, Dane Roberts and Tom Brazier took out star of the event award winning overall on Saturday night and managing to clear the course on bikes on Sunday (2nd overall behind Seb Dunne and rogainer novice Adam Franklin). Also clearing the course by bike were Julie Quinn and David Baldwin (1st mixed veteran, 3rd overall). The day foot course was won by Thomas Etheridge and William Tribe.  Links to the results and photos.

Michael Reed's race report and Greg Bacon's race report are attached.

Thanks goes to course setter Steve Hanley, vetters Andrew Rowe, Gail Sutton and Graham. Also to Brad Vallette who coordinated the ANU students admirably, Glenn Bridgart, Lisa Cutfield, Keira Doherty, Tom Banks and Pat Meithke. The Hartley team did their usual stirling job with catering and fun was had by all. See you at our last event of the year on 4th November, the ACT champs.
