Australian Rogaining Championships

24 hour

Course Description

The Wandering West Rogaine will be held NW of Wandering, a small wheat farming town southeast of Perth (1.5hrs SE of Perth).

See WARA website for more info.

WA's wheatbelt country is made up of vast pastures for grain crops and sheep, interspersed with blocks of remnant vegetation on relatively low hills. Large granite outcrops, ridges and rocky hills are often the major features of these bush areas. The setters have opted to go for the periphery of the flatter wheatbelt country where, whilst the topography is not as vertically challenging as the coastal ranges, the features are more distinct. The map will comprise 10% farmland, 90% bush, and will have a topographical range of approximately 270m to 450m. The Hash House site has been chosen and is easily accessible by 2wd's, campervans, buses, motorbikes etc.
