Navigation and Rogaine Skills Workshop

The Navigation Workshop entries are now open. The workshop will be held in and around Canberra over two days on the 17th and 18th of October. This is a great opportunity for both novices and experienced navigators to learn from the experts.

Control hangers and collectors are still needed and this will not preclude you from attending the event. Please contact Claire Edwards on 6154 3211 or claireandmog@iinet.net.au with any queries or volunteer offers.

The workshop is limited to 50 people - if a few more volunteer coaches can be found, that could be increased - if you can help, please contact Claire.

The rogaine workshop will be ideal training and skills development for the Spring rogaine on 31st October (see below).

 Spring 6/12 hour rogaine - 31st October

Come and enjoy the magnificent granite boulders of the Orroral Valley and a bit of moon landing history. The spring rogaine is within an hours drive south of Canberra along the Naas Road. The area is a mix of open easy grassy valleys and Eucalypt forest that is looking very healthy after the big singe 6 years ago. There are a number of walking tracks and fire trails in the area for speedy or easy travel. The elevation varies from 900m to 1350m with the higher spots put in to challenge the ultra fit. The map will be an A3 pre-marked 1:25,000 scale.
